Pamela Hetrick graduated from Kent State University in 1994 and began her nursing journey in the Oncology area. In 1996 she ventured into the Obstetrics field and worked with two large Midwifery groups that sparked her interest into the difference in the care they gave to women. In 2003, she graduated from Case Western Reserve University Frances Payne Bolton and shortly after graduation began working full scope Midwifery. Over the past 11 years Pamela has worked at a large tertiary care center and now is in a small private Midwifery practice. She has caught over 1,300 babies during her career.
In the past years, Pamela has had experience with grant writing, program implementation and state wide committee work through the Ohio Collaborative to Prevent Infant Mortality. She has precepted numerous Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Midwifery students. She has also lectured at Kent State University for the Obstetric component of the ADN program.
Pamela is a member of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of ACNM and now serves as the Affiliate President. Her goals for her term is to increase membership, improve communication and midwife participation within the state.
She resides in Mentor, OH with her husband Todd and has two children Michael (19) and Andrew (17). In her spare time she loves spending time with family and friends, likes to plan beach vacations! Her favorite part of being a Midwife is getting visits from the babies that she has the privilege to catch.
