What is a Midwife?
Midwives are experts in person-centered and family-centered care. Midwives are known for providing maternity care with excellent outcomes throughout the world and, of note, are the most common maternity care providers in countries with the best maternal and infant outcomes.
In addition to maternity care, certified nurse-midwives (CNM) provide person-centered care from adolescence through menopause and beyond.
You can visit a CNM for primary care, family planning, contraceptives, gynecologic care, and preconception care in addition to care during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
